In fact, he had an OPS of .818 from the left side of the plate last year. I am OK with him as a utility infielder and a guy who gives a guy some rest against righties only. If he continues to stink then we could look for another option, but right now he is only 24 years old and has shown he can play some.

As for Tex, we can't dwell on the totals for the year, just hope he hits his OPS moving forward. One weird stat I saw that I will share in the blog is he has an OPS of 1.025 in the day and .701 at night under the lights. That is a surprisingly huge discrepancy. The Genius Maker Yankee Bloghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06136006363205818957noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8620636286965369574.post-5552861101021190402010-07-05T12:16:36.305-04:002010-07-05T12:16:36.305-04:00I agree on all points. Finally Texiera is coming alive, he's been really hitting the ball hard lately and looks good even when he makes an out. His looks more confident and his swing looks better. He's good for the rest of the season I'm thinking!Erik Gnoreply@blogger.com
